I hope it will comfort you all to know the ten year old I babysit absolutely ADORES kpop. Particularly 2ne1 and SNSD.
His parents tell him its weird and he shouldnt watch those ‘chinese videos’ but he loves it anyway. He even tells them ‘there are other asians besides chinese!!’ all the time. Not only that but he bought a language lesson book because he wants to learn Korean. He is really good at learning dances too haha
I bought him a SNSD poster for his birthday and he told me it was the best gift he ever received.

Some kids are very open to new things but others have never been exposed to something like KPOP and dont know what to think of it. So they can only relate it to what theyve seen before, and to most of the US anything out of the ordinary means lady gaga. (Because clearly she is the most original human being to ever grace planet earth.) This is how its going to be if KPOP groups debut in the US so everybody prepare yourselves.


But I CAN tell you hes going to be just as MAD as all of you when he watches the video!
